Alright, I sure started out with a full plate! Friday night was to be the big gig--a night of dancing at Pi-Rem with my friends Lisa and Kunal. I've been craving Indian music for months! But Friday rolled around, and I was drained, definitely not in the mood for dancing.
Saturday was better--drove down to Salem to visit friends Jennifer and Andrea and had lunch at Marco Polo's (Chinese) and bird watched at Baskett Slough. These don't rate very high on the novelty scale though, huh?
But upon reflection, I did watch Dr. Strangelove (hilarious!), made vanilla poached pears (a must repeat), and had cable Internet installed! And I did arrange for future novelties--signed up for a Bible analysis class which starts in March, signed up for a snowshoe trip in February, and found out about several other opportunities--the random pillow fights in PDX (thanks, Dad!) and film festival at the art museum. So all in all, definitely not a wasted week. Coming up next week...Michael Pollan lecture and wines from Southern Oregon! And look what I just found...
